The old town is called Vila Closa. Its&#8217; streets are narrow and steep, meandering around the Calvari hill with the remains of an old wall still there.\u00a0 It has been converted into a lookout point in Pla\u00e7a de les Tres Creus. Here the city\u00a0 first started expanding\u00a0 \u200b outside the walls. Carrer Major\u00a0 with\u00a0 porticoes all along it has characteristic personality of the times it was built in. Surrounding the town runs the 4th main aqueduct of the Canal d&#8217;Urgell. An 18 km tree-lined promenade runs along it to enjoy nature and\u00a0 sport. From here you will also reach areas of high landscape and cultural value such as the Nou Salts and the First and Segona machines.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"tw-data-text tw-text-large tw-ta\" dir=\"ltr\" data-placeholder=\"Translation\"><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\">The two most important festivals of the town are<\/span><span class=\"Y2IQFc\" lang=\"en\"> the traditional Casserole Competition (Concurs de Cassoles de Tros, the first\u00a0 Sunday in June) and the Festa Major (end of August).
