The Cave Paintings in Cogul

One kilometre from Cogul, on the way to L'Albagés, there are The Great Cave Paintings named Roca dels Moros, declared the World Heritage by UNESCO. They are a fine example of Levantine cave art, with 45 drawings icluding human figures, several animals, and inscriptions, using the Iberian and Latin alphabets.

The Rock of the Moors is a part of Rock Art Route, that represents the most significant  rock art  preserved in our lands.

Visiting hours:

Hours from September 16 to June 30.

From Wednesday to Sunday and holidays: from 10.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Afternoons with reservation. Visits arranged on Tuesdays.

Hours from July 1 to September 15 (summer)
From Tuesday to Sunday and holidays: from 10.00 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.  Afternoons with reservation
